Indigenous

Authors & Artists

Siretona Creative celebrates Indigenous authors and artists.

In the spirit of truth and reconciliation, we are building a company where Indigenous authors can feel at home.

Profits that Siretona Creative generates from books by indigenous artists and/or authors will be placed in a fund to publish more books by Indigenous authors and to educate and mentor young indigenous authors and artists.

Joshua's

Journey

In the spring of 2019, Siretona Creative commissioned Starla Bruneau of StarAmie Quilting Studio to design and make a star blanket inspired by the book Shopping Cart Boy by Joshua Jordan G.H. On June 13 we blessed Joshua with this quilt in a special presentation at McNally Robinson in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Starla calls this configuration of the Lonestar quilt “Joshua’s Journey”: the eagle rises from the orange flames of life into the  blue sky of triumph.

Order your own star blanket from Star Amie Creative Studio -- whether a copy of Joshua's Journey or a customized design.
