Dear (your MP),

It has come to my attention that the Canadian Federal Government is imposing a 25% tariff on all books coming into Canada from the US as of April 2nd (tariff numbers 4901.10.00 and 4903.00.00).

Please let the government know that I am against this tariff. I do not support a tariff on an item that is so integral to Canada's cultural landscape. This tariff will cause undue hardship to Canadian booksellers and readers -- far more hardship than it will cause to the US., and will initiate the collapse of many wonderful bookstores across our country.
