Memberships FAQ

Q: What is in the Siretona Creative e-library?

A: Shorter answer: anything we feel might be interesting or valuable for our members. Longer answer: epubs for most of the books we carry, early versions of new works (posted for the purpose of beta reader feedback), white papers on writing and publishing, and more, as requested and as time permits. This is one of the first places where members can publish content. Whenever we add new content, we will alert members through the newsletter.

Q: What do you mean by equity?

A: We are basing our business on a model called Slicing Pie by Mike Moyer. In this model, project contributors earn equity in lieu of payment. Their equity will "vest" at specified future date, at which time the Contributor or Partner may claim whatever is owed to them.

In our model, there will be two types of projects offered: fee-based and equity-based, with two participation options, fee-earning and equity-earning.

Fee-based projects are paid up front by a client or member, thus making money available to pay team members immediately. Equity is always an option on fee-based projects.

Equity-only projects are not paid up front. Equity-only projects are vetted by a Siretona committee as worthwhile and potentially profitable. On such projects, all team members gain equity as the product makes money, providing incentive for working towards the product's success.. As noted above, members may access their equity when it vests. Equity projects also carry potential for equity bonuses.

Partners may also may also earn equity by bringing a product, brand, or other potentially item to Siretona.

All work and equity agreements will be goverened by contracts.

Q: Tell me more about the 30 day trial period for Collaborators and Partners.

A: At Siretona, we understand that creative people tend to need a lot of solitary time to develop their work. At the same time, we know that few people are multi-talented enough or energetic enough to do everything a product needs to launch it into the world. Not only do we want to come alongside creatives, we want to see them gain profit they might otherwise be unable to generate on thier own. We want to lift or lighten the burdens of team building and project management and work with our creative partners and collaborators.

Work relationships often fall apart due to personality clashes or lack of skill development. We want to avoid these as much as possible by screening our Collaborators and Partners before we make any mutual commitments. The screening process will involve a resume or curriculum vitae, one or two interviews, and some personality and work style evaluations (any and all of these: Strengthsfinder, BP10, Myers-Briggs, DISC, Enneagram, etc). If we decide to work together, then we will invite you to pay the appropriate fee. We may decide that you need some further development, in which case we would invite you to join at the Associate level in order to observe our community for awhile before trying again. Perhaps we will determine that working together is not a good fit, in which case we hope the screening process is beneficial in helping you to understand yourself better.

Q: I'm excited about the access to Adobe Creative Suite! How does that work?

A: Siretona's Adobe CC business membership comes with only a certain number of "seats." Team members will be given a seat, or access, to Creative Suite as they are assigned to projects. Once a project is finished, a team member's seat may be reassigned to another project. Team members may request and pay for extra time for short-term personal projects. These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
